Forth Generation iphone ( iPhone 4G) is Coming on July 2010

The iPhone 4G is COMING!!!

Are you ready? Release likely around June 24, 2010!

Lots of speculation is going around on the new iPhone 4g... in HD!! Official features have been revealed at the WWDC conference today.

Verizon Wireless is currently testing a CDMA version of the iPhone 4G and Verizon confirms they are making network changes to bring the iphone to their network. The new iPhone 4g is going to be loaded with awesome new features like video chat, multi-tasking and extreme downloading. (List of possible features below). Just when you think there is nothing else to come up with, more and more and more technology comes out. And it is on the rise, and not just at Apple, Inc!

Woo hoo! This iPhone 4g could also have dual core processors and higher and powerful graphic chips that can deliver higher video resolutions and better "still" images when taking pictures.

There are a few networks working on building a 4G network. T-mobile would be a likely carrier since they are GSM already. Sprint has a 4G network already... AT&T and Verizon Wireless are in the beginning stages. There are talks of Verizon Wireless getting iPhone sometime in 2010 since the exclusive contract with AT&T expires, but it could be renewed until 2012.

Whether or not it will be 4G will be up to them!... can they build in time? Regardless, there is much anticipation on how many people will leave AT&T for Verizon Wireless because of AT&T's lagging on app restrictions like Slingplayer and Google Voice and Skype (on #g network, not Wi-Fi).

AT&T's restrictions have caused the percentage of people that are JailBreaking their iPhones to rise since Jail Breaking usually comes with Cydia which is the app store for jail broken phones. Most of the applications, ringtones, and even iphone themes!...are free with Cydia. Winterboard is part of the download, and it very easily add's the changes to your phone so you dont have to figure how to do it on your own...it is VERY automated.

The Palm Pre on Sprint and HTC EVO (Sprint now offering a 4G network) has made an attempt at being competitive with iPhone and Blackberry...and it seems they are making head way.

iPhone 4G looks promising in terms of being sleek, packed with new hardware and multi-tasking software. Very exciting.

Pre-orders hit by glitches for Apple iPhone 4

Apple website in UK and US stutters under weight of increased visitors, while another AT&T data breach may have exposed the email addresses of pre-order customers

Apple has sold out of its initial allocation of iPhone 4 handsets. Hundreds of prospective customers reported problems logging on to the Apple pre-order website in both the US and UK, while some who did manage to place a pre-order said that they could not complete their transaction online.

Customers who have not yet managed to pre-order the device will now have to wait until at least July 2 to receive an iPhone 4. The device is available in two colours – white and black – although Apple is not yet accepting pre-orders for the white model.

AT&T, Apple's exclusive iPhone network operator in the United States, was at the centre of a security storm after some iPhone customers said they were logged in to the accounts of other iPhone users when they attempted to place a pre-order for Apple's latest device. According to Gizmodo, the breach potentially exposed the names, addresses and phone logs of AT&T iPhone customers to total strangers.

AT&T has not officially commented on these claims, but it will heap further embarrassment on the network operator just days after the FBI said it would investigate a security breach by hackers at Goatse Security that exposed the email address of more than 114,000 iPad owners.

The iPhone 4 goes on sale on June 24, and features a new, industrial design, improved camera with flash, sharper screen, longer battery life, and FaceTime video calling over Wi-Fi.

The device will be available from all the major network operators in the UK. None have yet released details of handset costs and price plans for the iPhone 4, although O2 has given customers some information about how they can upgrade from their existing iPhone to iPhone 4.

only three networks are contracted with New Iphone 4GS

CALL THE 3 NETWORK if you are an existing customer not near to or at the end of your existing contract and you want a second one, just for the joy of getting an Iphone 4.

Publishing its tariffs today for Apple's shiny new toy that comes with a defective screen if you are unlucky, the 3 network has no options for fanbois wanting an Iphone 4 but are not near the end of their contracts and it has no handsets of its own to sell.

For existing pay monthly customers near to or at the end of their contract that want to order from 3's website, the company says it will "prioritise [Iphone 4] orders on a first come first served basis so register your interest to secure your place in the queue". But it is anyone's guess when that Iphone will arrive as even the online Apple store has kept delaying its shipment date, which now reads 14 July.

For 3 customers not near the end of their contract and who would like to upgrade the contract, the webpage has bad news, "We are working on options for you - please register your interest and we will contact you when more information is available."

Those willing to go to one of Apple's stores can buy the shiny toy and arrange a pay monthly, pay as you go or SIM only contract with network operators offering the smartphone.

The 3 tariffs start at £30 with a £99 handset purchase for the 16GB version or £189 for the 32Gb unit. For the £30 you get 500 minutes, 5000 texts, 1GB of data and 5000 3-to-3 minutes. The most expensive monthly contract is the 32GB version's £45 a month tariff that provides 5000 texts, 2000 minutes, 1GB of data and 5000 3-to-3 minutes but with an £89 cost for the handset. For the £45 a month 16GB version contract the handset is free.

Once you own an Iphone 4, the 3 network will provide a micro-SIM. The Ipad also takes a micro-SIM but Apple says the Iphone and Ipad micro-SIMs are not compatible.

AT&T has announced that it won’t be selling iPhone 4s in store until June 29th!

“Unless you have pre-ordered the device we will not have any iPhone 4 devices in our stores on June 24th. We will begin selling devices in our stores on June 29th”

“We definitely don’t want you guys camping out at our stores or waiting online, only to be disappointed. Keep in mind that we’ll have limited inventory in the stores on June 29th. If we sell out you’ll have the option to buy one and have it delivered to your home, your business, or an AT&T store.”

Here is some bad news for folks who were planning to purchase a new iPhone 4 on launch day. AT&T has announced that their retail stores will not be selling iPhone 4 units to walk-in customers until next week.

However, AT&T's retail stores will be scheduling appointments with people who have pre-ordered iPhone 4 starting

In a recently published statement, AT&T has stated that the new iPhone 4 will be arriving this week only for customers who have already pre-ordered a unit. However, its retail stores will begin selling iPhone 4 on a first-come, first served basis to walk-in customers only from June 29. The move is apparently in a bid to optimize the limited inventory to better serve customers who have already placed an order.

You can checkout the video below to find out more about the availability of iPhone 4 at AT&T's retail stores:
We must note that this was expected as Apple had announced last week that close to 600,000 iPhone 4 units were pre-ordered on the opening day alone. AT&T had also reported that they had seen a ten-fold increase in the number of iPhone 4 pre-orders on opening day as compared to iPhone 3GS opening day pre-orders last year. The high demand for iPhone 4 units had crashed Apple and AT&T's servers and had resulted in Ma Bell suspending the iPhone 4 pre-orders since then.

Nevertheless, there are alternate channels for folks looking to purchase an iPhone 4 on Thursday. Third party retailers like Best Buy and Radio Shack, will be offering iPhone 4 to walk-in customers from June 24 (though we've heard that they would also be limited number of iPhone 4s). So the best chance to get an iPhone 4 without pre-ordering it would be Apple. But you will have to get there early as they will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Have you already pre-ordered your iPhone 4? Or are you planning to join the iPhone 4 line tomorrow that have already started outside Apple Stores?
